As of April 2026, Hampstead Renovations has completed 103+ residential projects — from Grade II listed Georgian townhouses in Belgravia to contemporary basement dig-downs in Belsize Park. “Do you handle planning?”
Yes — in-house architects manage all applications. approval guidance across London.
“Do I need planning permission for an extension?”
It depends on the size and your property type. Many rear extensions fall under Permitted Development, but conservation areas and listed buildings usually require full planning. We assess this at the first visit.
“What does a party wall agreement involve?”
If your build is on or near a shared boundary, a Party Wall Act notice is served to neighbours. We manage the full process including surveyor appointment and schedule of condition.
“How much does a typical London house extension or refurbishment cost?”
Budgets depend on property size, structure, approvals and finish level. After survey, we provide a detailed fixed-price proposal for house refurbishments, flat refurbishments and extensions.
“Can you work on listed buildings?”
Yes. Our heritage team has completed over 40 listed building projects. We handle Listed Building Consent applications and work to conservation officer requirements.
“Do you offer a warranty?”
Every project comes with a 10-year structural warranty plus 2 years on fixtures and finishes. We also carry £10M professional indemnity insurance.
“Can I stay in my home during the build?”
For many house extensions and phased refurbishments, yes. Larger whole-house refurbishments or major structural works may require temporary relocation.
